We operate on a rolling admissions basis at all proficiency levels with placement exams for students with prior familiarity with the language. Our immersion Spanish classes are held on Saturday mornings in Northwest DC for children ages 5 -12. There are three open houses a year and we hope you can join us. We also have a free trial lesson available.
We are located in the classrooms at St. Columba’s Church at 4201 Albemarle Street, N.W. (West of Wisconsin). There is ample street parking, as well as a parking lot off of Butterworth, behind the church.
Preparation for area immersion Spanish bilingual schools
One of the motivations for instituting rolling admissions is reach all children, including those of households where Spanish is spoken in the house, but there is a desire to help the children with some of the basic skills of vocabulary, grammar, and reading to complement the exposure at home. This helps the children retain the home language and increase the proficiency. One result, if desired, is that children are prepared to enter the wonderful, local multi-lingual schools such as Washington International School, Oyster, Marie Reed, and others.
